Have I ever told you how much I love reunions!? I mean both these unexpected reunions and those after not having seen each other for what seems like an eternity. Lucky me, in Mexico I was granted a lot of those! I met friends from back in the USA, I met lots of other intercambios again throughout my travels and in the end, I even had a special visitor from Germany! =)))

After being separated for half a year, Babsi and I were finally reunited in Guadalajara and as a former student of tourism, I could of course not help myself from leading her through the historic centre, playing the personal tourguide. It was such a fun day, walking the old town of Guadalajara and of course having dinner at our beloved  Burritoman! What can I say...now Babsi is in love as well ;-)

We spent some lovely, relaxing days around Guadalajara and I finally got to visit the old town of Tequila. It might even be considered a crime that it had really taken me half a year in Jalisco to finally visit the native roots of this famous friend in good and bad times. In fact, it is a very nice little town and absolutely worth the effort of a 45min busride. Of course, paying a visit to one of the distilleries is an absolute must-have. We decided for the famous Mundo Cuervo, where Jose Cuervo Tequilla is produced. Indeed, we had quite some fun trying all the different kind of Tequila throughout the tour and rounding it up with a few margeritas. =)))

These were nice, relaxing days but the next adventure was just ahead of us. Another mexican style backpacking tour! So stay tuned for lots of pictures and stories from Mexico City and Chiapas

Saludos&Besitos,
Mandy xx
